Twitterpated has nothing to do with Twitter but with Bambi

With so many people discussing Twitterpated everyday, I was wondering from long time if it has to do anything with all so famous Twitter.
But, though it sounded like being a close aide to Twitter or one of those twictionary words, believe me it’s not.
Twitterpated is just another regular English word coined a long back, even lot earlier to Twitter was invented.

Urbanlegend dictionary defines Twitterpated as
“An enjoyable disorder characterized by feelings of excitement, anticipation, high hopes, recent memories of interludes, giddiness, and physical overstimulation which occur simultaneously when experiencing a new love. These feelings take over without warning, usually at odd times (such as at a check-out line), with or without the partner present, and make it difficult to concentrate on anything but romance…… “

Let us peek into the origins of this word. According to WorldWideWords the word ‘Twitterpated’ was first used in original Bambi movie in 1942, in which a Friend Owl says, “Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime.”

May be that’s how Evan coined the name Twitter and associated a bird with it.
